How To Install Google Login On A Windows Computer

A quick tutorial on how to add a Google login function to your Windows computer.

Requirements:

License:
  • GCPW (standalone)—Supported editions for this feature: Frontline; Business Starter, Standard and Plus; Enterprise; Education Fundamentals, Standard, Teaching and Learning Upgrade, and Plus; G Suite Basic and Business; Essentials; Cloud Identity Free and Premium.  Compare your edition
  • Windows device management (standalone or with GCPW)—Supported editions for this feature: Frontline; Business Plus; Enterprise; Education Standard and Plus; Cloud Identity Premium.  Compare your edition
System:
  • Windows 10 Pro, Pro for Workstations, Enterprise, or Education, version 1803 or later
  • For GCPW, Chrome Browser 81 or later

Guide:

1. Download Google Credential Provider for Windows®
2. Open “REGEDIT” and go to this  “Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Google\GCPW
3. Create a string value called "domains allowed to login."
4. Set the value to "mydomain.com"
5. When you restart the machine, you will see the "Add work account" option at the bottom.
