Check links before clicking to avoid scams
Scammers may change a link to make it appear legitimate. Make sure a link is safe before you click on it
When using a computer, remember to:
Place your cursor over the link. You will be directed to the destination website by clicking on the link. If it does not match the link in your email, it is a scam.
When conversing over the phone or at a table:
Verify the sender’s identity. Is the email address and name correct? Is the address particularly long? If the sender is suspicious, do not click on the link.
